What Would YOU Do for Black Ice?

I have three advance reader copies of BLACK ICE that I want to share with my most devoted readers! But how can I choose just three of you? Talk about an impossible choice! So, I've decided to let YOU convince me you should get a copy by showing me what you would do to win one.

Show me what creative, crazy, fun, superfanish thing you would do for a signed advance copy of BLACK ICE. Here's how:

• Post a picture or video on any social media site (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Tumblr, etc.) showing what you would do to get your hands on a copy of BLACK ICE.

To celebrate, I'm hosting a special giveaway!

The first 50 people to send me proof that they've preordered BLACK ICE will receive a signed, personalized BLACK ICE book jacket. If you're not one of the first 50, don't sweat. The next 200 (yes, 200!) people to email proof of preorder/purchase will receive signed BLACK ICE book jackets!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I know there is a lot of taboo around this holiday, and people seem to either love it, or hate it. I happen to be a lover. I think the idea of expressing love is awesome. February is such a long, cold, dreary month, but Valentine's Day breaks up the dreariness and gives me something to look forward to. I've had my share of awkward and lonely Valentine's Days, but I've simply chosen to look at them as raw material for future stories, ha!

In the spirit of saying, "I love you!" I'm giving away a HUSH, HUSH valentine, including signed books, a poster, and a tee from the HUSH, HUSH Cafe Press store.

GUYS!!

Ten days! That's all that's left! On October 4th, SILENCE will be in your hot little hands. You'll finally know what happens to Patch and Nora. I can't wait!

To celebrate these final days, I'm giving away ten signed, limited edition SILENCE locker posters. That's one poster every day from now until October 4th.

SILENCE Jackets!

Happy Friday indeed! I just went out to get the mail, and lo and behold, SILENCE jackets from the UK were waiting for me. They are so very shiny! Simply breathtaking. Here's proof:

I also have my US jackets, which are printed on the same iridescent paper used on both the HUSH, HUSH and CRESCENDO covers. The three look so gorgeous lined up together!

SILENCE Contest Winners!

Hey there -

First off, before I announce the winners of the Name-This-Character contest, I want to say again how fun (and stressful, but in a good way!) this contest was for me. So many creative names were submitted by YOU, and I mentioned more than once on Twitter just how difficult it was for me to narrow it down to one name. I've never been a very decisive person, so trust me, selecting a winner was excruciatingly difficult. I wish I could have somehow picked every entry as the winning entry, but obviously that just wasn't possible. However...I did pick two winners. Yikes! That was unexpected. But good, right? :)

Name-this-Character Contest CLOSED

First off, a big thanks to everyone who participated in the naming of a character in SILENCE! I've been getting a lot of questions about the contest, so I thought I'd post FAQs and my subsequent answers here.

Q: How many entries were there?
A: Nearly 3500!

Q: Have you picked a winning character name yet?
A: No. It will take several days (if not a week or two) to carefully go over each name and select the one that best fits the so-called nameless character.

Q: When will you announce the winning character name?
A: After I've selected the winning name, and after I've contacted the person who submitted it. Hopefully before June!

Q: What does the winner get?
A: I will publicly thank them in SILENCE's acknowledgements.

Q: Will you do another contest like this again?
A: I did a Name-this-Character contest for both CRESCENDO and SILENCE. I see no reason to stop!
