FINALE FAQ

Hey, guys!
I've been getting a lot of questions lately about FINALE. I'm so glad you're curious! Please read my responses to several FAQ below.

What is the title of the fourth book in the HUSH, HUSH saga? FINALE. I revealed the title during a live Goodreads chat in January.

Is FINALE really the last book in the series? It is. I've devoted the past several years to the HUSH, HUSH series, and while I will most definitely miss the characters and the world I've built, I'm ready to jump into a new manuscript and feel the challenge and reward that comes with fleshing out new characters, plot, and setting.

When can I buy FINALE? The book releases October 23, 2012 in the US, Canada, the UK, Ireland, and Australia. I do not have information about other countries' release dates at this time, my apologies.

Can I read a description of FINALE anywhere? FINALE is under embargo, which means my publisher is working very hard to make sure FINALE has a strict release date of October 23—they don't want spoilers leaking early! To aid this process, the description of FINALE that is currently available is very, very vague. I will post it here, but be warned: It isn't a juicy tell-all!
Nora is more certain than ever that she is in love with Patch. Fallen angel or no, he is the one for her. Her heritage and destiny may mean that they will always be enemies, but there is no turning her back on him. But now they face their biggest challenge. How many pages is FINALE? Currently, it's 435. During the editing process, that number may go up or down, but it won't change drastically.

When will FINALE's cover be revealed? The cover reveal will happen May/June. Stay tuned!

Will you be touring for FINALE? Yes! I'll be touring the US October 23 – 29. You might notice that I'm touring substantially less this year than I have in the past. I have two little boys at home, and I've felt strongly in recent months that I need to be home with them as much as possible. In the past, I've missed birthdays, Halloween, class plays, music productions, and first soccer goals, among many other exciting childhood celebrations, due to touring. I love touring and meeting fans, but it requires a big sacrifice in my personal life. This year I've made the decision to tour less in order to spend more time with my family. I appreciate your understanding.

If I can't come to an event, can I still get a signed copy of FINALE and the other books in the series? Absolutely! Most bookstores are happy to sell books over the phone. Simply call a bookstore I'm scheduled to visit, pre-order a copy of the book, and explain that you'd like me to sign and personalize the book for you. For a small shipping fee, the bookstore will mail the signed copy directly to you.

Happy Valentine's Day!

I know there is a lot of taboo around this holiday, and people seem to either love it, or hate it. I happen to be a lover. I think the idea of expressing love is awesome. February is such a long, cold, dreary month, but Valentine's Day breaks up the dreariness and gives me something to look forward to. I've had my share of awkward and lonely Valentine's Days, but I've simply chosen to look at them as raw material for future stories, ha!

Hush, Hush Graphic Novel Update

Hey guys -

Some news about the HUSH, HUSH graphic novel. The release has been delayed until March. I received the following apology from Sea Lion, the publisher, and wanted to share it with you.

I regretfully would like to inform you that the graphic novel has been pushed back to March of this year by no fault of Becca's. In order to bring you a quality product we needed to spend the extra time on the project. Words cannot express how truly sorry we are for the frustration and inconvenience that we caused. FINALE Playlist

Hello!

Now that the title of the fourth book in the HUSH, HUSH series has been announced, I thought I would pleasure your ears with the playlist I listened to while working on FINALE. CRESCENDO Paperback Blog Tour - Day 4

CRESCENDO was released in paperback on Tuesday and in celebration our Blog Tour has stopped off over at FallenArchangel, Late Bloomer Online and The Book Cellar.   Today the CRESCENDO Paperback Blog Tour is stopping off here so that Becca can answer a few fan questions as she gets ready for her Live VIDEO Chat on Goodreads next week.


What has been the most difficult scene to write in the HUSH, HUSH Saga so far (including Book 4)? I'm writing the final pages of Book 4 right now. It's hard! It's the end of the series, and I want to make sure every last thread is tied up and the story feels finished. I don't want to handle it the wrong way. It's one of the most important scenes in the series. I don't want to botch it!




Was writing the last book harder than writing the others, since you know it will wrap up the story? Yes and no. The writing and storytelling feel easier now, and I think that comes through experience. But there is definitely a pressure to live up to readers' expectations.

If you were stuck on a deserted island and could only have 5 things with you, what would you want to have?? Oh, wow, that's tough! My family. Electricity. My iPhone. A freezer filled with ice cream. Maybe...a magic wand?

Favorite indulgence? A bubble bath and a book. Online shopping. Homemade brownies. Veronica Mars.

Favorite color? Red
