Kids Need to Read

Hi all! I'm back home from the SILENCE tour and slowly acclimating to normal life. My internal clock seems to be still living in London, so I was very proud of myself for staying up until 9:30 last night, ha! We'll see if I can do at least that late with trick-or-treating tonight...

 So! On to Kids Need to Read. I'm very excited to be participating in a character-naming auction that will benefit Kids Need to Read, a national nonprofit foundation run by Nathan Fillion. By bidding, you're not only promoting childhood literacy, but YOU just might end up in my next book!

SILENCE Excerpt and Trailer

Hey everyone!

Thrilled to make this announcement: There will be a fourth book in the HUSH, HUSH saga! The book (untitled) will be out Fall 2012. Why the change in plans, you ask? First, I felt compelled to write a book set during Cheshvan, since it plays such a huge role in the HUSH, HUSH series. Second, fans and readers have been asking for a fourth book, and I wanted to deliver! I've spent the past couple months writing book 4, and I know how the story is going to end. The fourth book will be the final installment.

Only 10 days left until SILENCE makes its way into the world, Becca's publisher has given us a new great way to pass the time while we wait!  

Get a sneak peek at SILENCE and put yourself into the HUSH, HUSH Saga here  Once you make your story, you can get a look at a scene from SILENCE!  Eeek so exciting!!  (please do NOT repost the scene anywhere else, instead send your friends to Becca's site to read it.)  This is so much fun!  We ended up with some quotes like...

I wrinkled my nose, trying to figure out what he smelled like.  Not cigarettes. Something richer, fouler.  Old potatoes.
