Name-this-Character Contest CLOSED

First off, a big thanks to everyone who participated in the naming of a character in SILENCE! I've been getting a lot of questions about the contest, so I thought I'd post FAQs and my subsequent answers here.

Q: How many entries were there?
A: Nearly 3500!

Q: Have you picked a winning character name yet?
A: No. It will take several days (if not a week or two) to carefully go over each name and select the one that best fits the so-called nameless character.

Q: When will you announce the winning character name?
A: After I've selected the winning name, and after I've contacted the person who submitted it. Hopefully before June!

Q: What does the winner get?
A: I will publicly thank them in SILENCE's acknowledgements.

Q: Will you do another contest like this again?
A: I did a Name-this-Character contest for both CRESCENDO and SILENCE. I see no reason to stop!

More Graphic Novel Sketches

Wow. Lots of exciting things happening in the HUSH, HUSH world this week (you've seen the SILENCE cover, right?!), and now I've received a few more sketches from the artist working on the HUSH, HUSH graphic novel. I have to say, I've been really impressed by how devoted both Sea Lion Books and the artist are to this project. They are very concerned with making sure readers feel the sketches are true to the characters. Below we have revised versions of both Patch and Nora. Curious to hear what you think!

The SILENCE cover was revealed (along with an SILENCE excerpt) today on MTV Hollywood Crush.

UK Paperback Release!

Today is the day! The UK paperback of CRESCENDO is now in stores! The cover is gorgeous--an atmospheric blue foil. Love that it has such an incredible quote from Jenny at Wondrous Reads as well.

To celebrate the paperback release, I'm giving away a signed/personalized copy of the book. Entry is simple.

1. Take a picture of the CRESCENDO paperback (in a store, in your hands, ANYWHERE will do).
